Silurian.email Service Terms

These terms supplement the Silurian General Service Terms for Silurian.email Basic and Pro mailbox services.

1. Service scope

Silurian.email Basic and Pro provide ordinary personal or corporate email on the Customer's domain. The selected order or included-benefit request defines the number of mailboxes, storage, billing term and included support. The service may include webmail, authenticated IMAP and SMTP, aliases, filtering and managed DNS configuration.

Where one Basic mailbox is included with an eligible domain registered through Silurian, the Customer requests it from Workspace after the domain becomes active. The included entitlement remains linked to that active domain registration and is not a transferable cash discount. Basic for an external domain is a separately paid service.

2. No marketing or bulk email

The Customer must not connect marketing automation, newsletter, campaign or bulk-mail applications to Silurian.email Basic or Pro. Commercial messages sent to multiple recipients, mailing lists, purchased or scraped lists, and any attempt to distribute substantially similar promotional content at scale are prohibited. A separate Silurian.email marketing product must be used if and when it becomes available and expressly permits that traffic.

3. Lawful corporate communication

The service may be used for normal one-to-one and ordinary team communication with employees, customers, suppliers and other legitimate contacts. The Customer must comply with privacy, confidentiality, electronic-communications and anti-spam law and must not send phishing, fraud, malware, unlawful, misleading or unsolicited content.

4. Credentials, users and compromised accounts

The Customer is responsible for its users, passwords, devices and applications. Credentials must be kept confidential and changed after suspected compromise. Automated access must use only supported protocols and must not evade authentication, rate, recipient or security controls.

5. Operational limits and anomalous use

Silurian may apply per-mailbox and per-domain sending limits, connection limits, temporary deferrals and other proportionate controls needed to protect customers and delivery reputation. Silurian may restrict or suspend traffic immediately when it detects anomalous recipient volume, credential abuse, malicious content, repeated provider rejection or another material security or acceptable-use risk. Where practicable, Silurian will notify the Customer and assist with remediation.

6. Domains and DNS

The Customer must control the domain and authorises Silurian to publish or request the MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and related records needed for the service. Domains not managed by Silurian require the Customer or its DNS provider to apply the supplied records. Activation and delivery depend on correct DNS and may require propagation time.

7. Delivery and filtering

Silurian operates reasonable anti-spam, anti-malware, authentication and reputation controls, but no message is guaranteed to reach a recipient or inbox. Recipient providers and networks may filter, delay, reject or classify email independently. Silurian does not bypass legitimate recipient controls or promise delivery of traffic that breaches these terms.

8. Data location and privacy

The mailbox platform is hosted in Europe. Silurian and its infrastructure providers process message content, account data and delivery metadata only as needed to provide, secure, support and operate the service and as otherwise described in the applicable privacy and data-processing terms.

9. Availability, export and termination

The Customer should retain independent copies of information it cannot afford to lose and use supported export or migration tools before termination. Availability, backup, retention and restoration commitments apply only where expressly stated in the order or service specification. On termination, access and data may be removed after the notified retention period, subject to legal obligations.
