Domain Name Registration and Management Terms

These terms supplement the Silurian General Service Terms for every domain registration, transfer, renewal or management order.

1. Registrar and registry rules

Silurian acts as reseller and service interface. Registrations are performed through an accredited registrar, currently Netim where identified in the order, and the applicable registry. The Customer accepts the current Netim legal documents, including its General Terms for Domain Names, together with all policies and eligibility rules of the relevant registry and, for generic TLDs, applicable ICANN consensus policies.

2. No guaranteed registration

A search result, cart or payment does not reserve a name. Registration is complete only when confirmed by the registry. Premium status, eligibility checks, verification, reserved names, provider errors or a simultaneous third-party registration can prevent fulfilment.

3. Registrant data and authority

The Customer represents that it is entitled to request the domain and that all registrant, administrative and technical data and supporting documents are complete, current and truthful. The named registrant is the domain holder. A holder change is an ownership transfer and is not a routine contact edit.

4. Eligibility, rights and disputes

The Customer must satisfy and continue to satisfy every TLD eligibility rule and must not infringe third-party rights. The registry or registrar may verify identity, request evidence, lock, suspend, delete or transfer a name as required by its rules, a dispute decision, court order or applicable law.

5. Renewal, expiry and recovery

The order states the registration period and renewal setting. Registry cut-offs may precede the public expiry date. Renewal is effective only after registry confirmation. An expired domain may stop resolving, enter a grace or redemption period, incur additional recovery charges, or be deleted and become available to others. Silurian cannot guarantee recovery.

6. Transfers and configuration

Transfers require the correct authorisation, unlocked status and any registry-specific approval. DNS, DNSSEC, nameserver, contact or transfer changes may be asynchronous and are complete only when confirmed by the registrar or registry. The Customer is responsible for preserving working DNS and service configuration.

7. TLD-specific terms

Where an extension has special conditions, checkout presents a separate document for that TLD. Both this general document and the TLD-specific document must be accepted. If a registry introduces a new mandatory condition before fulfilment, Silurian may pause the order and request explicit acceptance.
